UMIKA ("we", "our", "the Service") is an AI-powered virtual assistant operated by ngoclin.h_ at umika.ngoclinh.org. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

When you create an account or use the Service, we may collect:
- Account: Email address and hashed password for sign-in, or basic profile info (name, avatar) via Google OAuth
- Device: IP address and basic browser/device info for security and abuse prevention
- Content: Chat messages you send, stored to enable chat history features
- Preferences: Display name, nickname, and preferences you provide in your profile
We do not collect payment info, precise location, or biometric data.
How We Use Your Data
- To operate the Service — authentication, chat history sync
- To personalize AI responses based on your nickname and preferences
- To monitor for abuse, spam, or security threats
- To improve the Service over time
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
Third-Party AI Providers
Your chat messages are transmitted to these providers to generate AI responses:
- Anthropic Claude API — Anthropic Privacy Policy ↗

Only message content is sent for inference — your email or password is never shared with these providers.
Data Storage & Retention
- Account data and chat history are stored in Cloudflare D1, a secure cloud database
- Sessions use encrypted HTTP-only cookies with a 7-day expiry
- You can delete your chat history at any time from within the app
- Account deletion requests: email work@ngoclinh.org — processed within 30 days
Cookies
We use a single secure HTTP-only cookie (session) to maintain your login state. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Your Rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
